"The Barrier" — Under Concrete Insulation


A thermal block which insulates the concrete from the cold and dampness of the ground

"The Barrier" is an underground insulator/vapor barrier that is made with 3/8" extruded polystyrene and heavy duty black polyethylene film laminated to both sides. The product is strong and durable and will not collapse under the weight of the concrete, you can walk on it during the installation. The patented taping system makes installation fast and efficient. Rolls are 4' wide x 60' long. (240 sq. feet). Like a styrofoam cup protects your hand from the hot beverage it holds "The Barrier" protects concrete from heat loss and moisture. "The Barrier" under concrete insulation is a thermal block which insulates the concrete from the cold and dampness of the ground. By using a Barrier Product under your driveway, you can prevent it from cracking due to extreme environment fatigue. Before pouring any concrete slab it is recommended that a barrier layer should be added. If a Barrier Layer is added to the exterior of a basement, it will not sweat when installed properly.

The Barrier under concrete insulation, is made with 3/8" extruded polystyrene laminated between 2 layers of black polyethylene film - creating an excellent radon inhibitor, ensuring a safe environment for your home.
